What you get to price against
The registry record, the inspection grade and its findings, the odometer reading as inspected rather than as claimed, and the transfer date. The policy can be placed to start on the handover rather than on a guess.
How it is offered
As an optional add-on inside the deal, before handover. The buyer sees the quote with the rest of what they are paying, and declining it changes nothing else about the transaction.
